EMODnet Physics - WMS/WFS

EMODnet Physics is exposing fully OGC compliant WMS/WFS layers:

Connect to our WMS to get a map of all the available platforms

You can connect to our WMS calling this address with the desired parameters or using OpenLayers or LeafLet js.

Openlayers Example:

var layer = new OpenLayers.Layer.WMS(
	  "Name custom layer", "http://geoserver.emodnet-physics.eu/geoserver/emodnet/ows",
          {

Connect to our WFS to get a map of all the available platforms along with extensive information

You can connect to our WFS calling this address with the desired parameters or using OpenLayers or LeafLet js.

When using OpenLayers to access our WFS, remember to setup a proxy on your server to avoid cross-domain issues.

EMODnet Physics - Web services

EMODnet Physics is exposing two Web Services available at the following links:

  1. www.emodnet-physics.eu/arh/wsemodnet.aspx (.xml and .txt responses)
  2. www.emodnet-physics.eu/arh/wsemodnet.asmx (.asmx web service)

The field "platform_id" from our WFS corresponds to the field "PlatformID" from our web services and it is the primary identification key for a platform within our system: you can use it to successfully bind information you get from different services within our system.
